One Gas Supervisor, Commercial Projects in Austin, Texas
Supervise, manage, and/or direct employees performing various technical duties related to customer driven capital projects and growth. Build and maintain relationships with developers, builders, customers and customer prospects requiring pipeline and/or new service installation.
Supervise, manage, and/or direct employees performing various technical activities and clerical functions including but not limited to:
Project management, oversight, risk management, and site readiness
Oversee all aspects of project management and communication from initial contact to in-service to site restoration and cleanup
Monitor growth impact to system capacity
Economic feasibility and financial analysis
Contract negotiation and writing
Line and new service extensions
Budgeting and forecasting
Communicate regularly, interact, project manage and coordinate activities with Company engineering, scheduling, inspection, construction and service departments, as well as, architects, engineers, plumbers, builders, developers, local city officials, inspectors and other entities as needed to meet customer service expectations.
Identify, monitor and regularly report updates for key projects, identifying complexities, challenges, construction progress and spend against estimate and plan.
Provide information and assistance to various individuals including, employees, vendors, and contractors, relative to the following:
Surveys / staking
Policies and procedures
Construction schedules, site readiness and customer expectations
Fuel switching and conversions
Permits Traffic control planning and coordination
Work in progress
Compile, prepare, verify, and/or approve reports and information including but not limited to:
Project, case and assignment tracking
Capital Growth budget
Job orders and completion reports
Contracts and invoices
Requisitions and stores documents
Letters and correspondence
Project estimates and status reports
Line extension contracts and refunds
Customer service line billing
Growth trends, corridors and development opportunities
Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships by providing information and assistance regarding planning, project management, company policy and strategic growth programs to the following:
Builders and developers
Planning and zoning commissions, city/county development departments or local equivalent
Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing contractors
Develop, maintain and communicate a growth plan for necessary system expansion for new systems along with upgrades and capacity improvements needed in existing systems to meet customer needs.
Actively coach, develop and mentor direct reports through the establishment of individual development plans. Develops team plans to drive performance results, enhance overall leadership competencies, business performance and enhance collaboration across work groups.

Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering, engineering technology, business administration, marketing other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:
Experience in or thorough knowledge of operating clerical, land development, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing planning (MEP), civil planning, computer aided drafting, surveying, and estimating activities.
Experience in use and function of office and drafting tools and equipment including accessing computers, plotters, and calculators.
Application of math and geometric and algebraic formulas.
Experience and training related to:
Job order processing
Work management systems (Maximo)
Company budgeting process
Operating functions and related procedures
Pipeline construction methods
Line extension policies / tariffs
Corporate organizational structures
Utilizing GIS, including spatial queries and analyses
Reading and interpreting civil and mechanical plans
Government and/or company regulations concerning pipeline line sizing and construction methods as well as meter placement and sizing
Experience reading and interpreting policies, procedures, manuals, reports, studies, contracts, budgets, job orders, completion reports, governmental regulations, maps, plats, legal descriptions, survey notes, requisitions, reports, traffic control plans, and/or correspondence.
Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.
Demonstrated ability to develop information, develop presentations, and conduct group meetings.
Demonstrated ability to train, manage, direct, and/or supervise; knowledge of local codes, permit requirements, policies and procedures.
Experience researching, verifying, processing, and/or preparing budgets, reports, drawings, right of way descriptions, line extension estimates, economic analyses, refund determination, requisitions, job orders/completion reports, and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license. Requires travel to company offices, job sites, and meeting locations throughout service area. PMP beneficial.
Mobility to travel in office surroundings, to customer offices and around construction job sites outdoors.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings. Fluent in English.
Sufficient to perform job duties.
