Position Description:

Must be a subject matter expert in poly fusion with a certification in poly fusion or the ability to become certified in accordance with ONE Gas standards.

Experience in and thorough knowledge of pipeline/field with a strength in construction and maintenance is preferred.

This job requires a minimum 50 percent travel throughout the Texas service areas.

Conduct gas field training and certification testing for company employees; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local governmental and company rules, regulations, and codes. Train and certify skills of third-party contractors as requested.

Coordinate and manage training facilities. Install, maintain, and/or construct training aids and equipment at training centers.

Develop, coordinate, update, and conduct internal/external studies and research projects including but not limited to:

  • Training programs/courses

  • Needs analysis

  • Safety and material security

Consult with and/or provide guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, contractors, local governmental officials, and others regarding company/governmental standards, certifications, codes, and training.

Compile, verify, and/or prepare information and reports including but not limited to:

  • Job skills/training needs assessments

  • Procedure/training manuals

  • Training modules and statistics

  • Correspondence.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Associates Degree in business or related field and with experience in training.

Knowledge related to company training programs and processes.

Experience in use and function of equipment/tools used in construction, maintenance, and/or service of distribution and transmission pipelines.

Experience with the application of basic mathematical and algebraic formulas.

Experience reading and interpreting reports, governmental regulations, training materials, safety manuals, field procedural manuals, equipment specifications, policies, procedures, and correspondence.

Experience researching, analyzing, and preparing reports, training aides and manuals, needs assessments, field procedural manuals, policies, procedures, and correspondence.

Demonstrated ability to lead and/or delegate work activities.
