Position Description:

We are currently hiring for a Field Tech III - Measurement and Regulation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Performs a specialized level of work in installing and maintaining measurement, regulation, and related equipment. Overtime and callout rotation is required as needed. This position does require some overnight stays out of town. Must adhere to safety at the highest standard. Valid driver license and good driving record is required. Must live when 30 minutes response to the Enid area operating office.Install, test, repair, maintain meters, odorization equipment, regulators and over pressure protection devises.

Perform scheduled gas measurement, pressure control on transmission and distribution pipeline systems inspection and testing on Large volume measurement stations, and regulating gas flow pressures.

Conduct scheduled pressure tests on meters and checking set points on regulators and relief valves.Maintain and operate a company vehicle in a safe manner.

Process workflow charts and prepare reports including but not limited to: Meter and Regulator installation and/or removal,

Operational tests, repairs, and maintenance, Mileage reports, Time sheets, Equipment change out forms.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Experience installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining measurement and regulation equipment.

Training and experience relative to: Meter testing and installation, regulating gas flow and pressure

Company and Governmental operating/safety procedures and servicing/repairing various measuring station equipment, Customer service activities and knowledge of the Characteristics of natural gas.

Experience in use, function, maintenance, and repair of tools and equipment used to regulate the flow of gas.

Application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Application of formulas to calculate gas load requirements.

Working knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline systems.

Experience in reading and interpreting maps, blueprints, plats, atlas pages, dials/digital gauges, gas sample reports and applicable operation manuals.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.


Applicable driver's license. (CDL license not required but beneficial)


Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 10-15 times a day; up to 20 pounds 5-10 times a day; up to 30 pounds 5-10 times a day; over 50 pounds 3-5 times a day.

Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to: Mud, Gravel, Sand, Rocks, Ice, Snow.Walk, stand, kneel/stoop, and drive for extended periods.

Climb and maintain balance using ladders.React immediately to emergency situations to prevent harm to self and others.

Able to detect natural gas by smell.

Able to operate tools and equipment required.


Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions including use of company two-way radio.


Accurate depth perception.

Sufficient to perform job duty.
