One Gas Field Tech II Corrosion in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Performs an intermediate level of work related to maintenance of corrosion control systems.
Maintain corrosion control systems on company transmission and distribution pipelines.
Assist in testing, adjusting, and/or repairing rectifiers, anodes, and test points.
Assist with identification and repair of interference/foreign contact problems.
Perform continuity tests and soil resistivity surveys and other special surveys.
Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair cathodic protection tools and equipment.
Drive and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment including but not limited to:
Washing truck and equipment
Fueling truck and checking fluid levels
Changing oil and filters
Checking belts, tires, hoses, and lights
Complete and/or update reports and documents including but not limited to:
Atlas pages, maps, plats, and diagrams
Job orders and completion reports
Equipment maintenance reports
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Working knowledge of corrosion control procedures.
Working knowledge of use, function, maintenance, and repair of cathodic protection tools and equipment. Demonstrated ability to access mainframe computer applications.
Working knowledge in application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
Working knowledge and training relative to:
Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
Construction and maintenance activities
One Call System policies and procedures
Working knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline system operations.
Knowledge of pipe coating, basic chemistry, electronics, and metallurgy.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, plats, atlas pages, rectifier reports, and applicable operation and repair manuals.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 10 15 times a day; up to 20 pounds 10 15 times a day; 30-50 pounds 3-5 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to:
Walk, stand, kneel/stoop, and drive for extended periods.
React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
