One Gas Manager, Energy Efficiency Program in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Position Description:

PLEASE NOTE: This position can be based in Austin, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Overland Park, KS, or Tulsa, OK

Manage the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, initiatives, and processes involved in the implementation of company's energy efficiency programs.

Develops and implements short and long-range plans and innovative programs to promote company's energy efficiency projects and programs.

Determines goals, objectives and resource requirements for activities within the Company. Establishes processes and procedures to provide energy efficiency services, ensuring compliance regulatory requirements.

Manages the development, implementation and evaluation of processes for energy efficiency Programs, including quality control systems, outreach, training, education, stakeholder engagement, tours, and conferences.

Develops and oversees implementation of processes for communicating energy efficiency opportunities and achievements to the larger community and media outlets.

Develops new contracts by negotiating with vendors/contractors; preparing scopes of work and/or specifications; writing contracts; writing terms and conditions.

Develops, monitors and manages program and related budgets as required.

Researches and drafts documents for presentation and publication such as status reports and annual reports.

Researches and drafts documents associated with required regulatory body filings.

Provides regular reports, summaries, analyses and recommendations.

Actively coach, develop and mentor direct reports through the establishment of individual development plans. Develops team plans to drive performance results, enhance overall leadership competencies, business performance and enhance collaboration across work groups.

Participates in workshops, public hearings, stakeholder processes, and team meetings. Represents company's energy efficiency programs before various formal, informal and advisory groups, government or regulatory departments, trade associations and other groups and entities.

Leads, manages and participates in project teams inside company and in the wider community as required.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Requirements for this position

  • Energy Efficiency program experience is required

Preferred Skills

  • Strongly prefer 7-10 years' experience with Energy Efficiency programs and/or regulatory involvement

  • Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred

  • Energy Efficiency program implementation experience would be beneficial

Preferred bachelor's degree business administration, management, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and job related experience

Experience with and thorough knowledge of:

  • Energy efficiency products, programs and technologies

  • Company and industry operations including emerging industry trends, challenges and opportunities relating to energy efficiency

  • Energy industry emerging technologies, trends, processes, and procedures

  • Local, regional, and national energy efficiency movements and issues

  • Fiscal planning and budget preparation

  • Project management

  • Statistical analysis and communications analysis

Demonstrated ability to understand customer sector challenges and service requirements and trends, processes, and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to understand the technical language associated with energy efficiency and interact effectively with technical staff, consultants, and experts.

Experience with application of math and algebraic formulas.

Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.

Experience leading, directing, supervising, and training.

Experience researching, composing, and preparing reports and correspondence.

Experience identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing problems and situations.

Experience interacting, advising, negotiating, and communicating effectively.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Minimum Applicable driver's license.

Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out of doors.

Communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations.

Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
