One Gas Operations Tech in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Plans and coordinates installation, maintenance, rebuild, and relocation of pipelines and related facilities.
Plan and coordinate pipeline construction projects including but not limited to:
Installations into newly developed areas
Rebuilding areas of existing system
Replacing bare pipe
Relocating facilities for third party construction
Develop and implement projects including but not limited to:
Long range piping plans
Pipeline system simulations
Pipeline safety regulations
Right of way and easement requirements
Avoid and/or resolve conflicts related to location of company facilities that are obstructing third party construction.
Administer One Call responsibilities including but not limited to (not specified by position):
Assigning requests to line locators
Monitor timely completion of requests
Research and prepare information and reports including but not limited to:
Construction contracts and specifications
Allocations of financial responsibility
Capital maintenance budget information
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Some college coursework in engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience
Experience with or working knowledge of methods and procedures of pipeline construction, design, and surveying.
Experience with the application of math, algebra, and trigonometry.
Knowledge of processes related to planning, coordinating, and monitoring installation, maintenance, rebuild, and relocation of pipeline systems and facilities.
Demonstrated ability to develop long range plans for maintaining and making improvements to company's pipeline systems and facilities.
Working knowledge and training relative to:
Operating policies and procedures
Distribution/transmission pipeline operation
One Call system operation
Communications skills/customer relations
Experience interacting, advising, directing, and communicating effectively.
Experience researching, preparing, and composing contracts, specifications, cost estimates, billings, procedures, reports, budgets, job orders, legal descriptions, and correspondence.
Experience reading and interpreting manuals, policies, procedures, governmental regulations, reports, maps, computer printouts, job orders, catalogues, contracts, specifications, drawings, and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to develop and present information to individuals or groups.
Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, or delegate work assignments. Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures (specified by position).
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Mobility to travel in office surroundings and around job sites out of doors.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions including use of two way radios.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
