One Gas Sr. Tech Analyst - Instrumentation in Overland Park, Kansas
Position Description:
Performs a specialized level of work related to installation, calibration, and maintenance of gas measurement, regulation, and quality-control devices.
Install, test, calibrate, and/or maintain gas measurement, regulation, and recording devices and equipment including but not limited to:
Chromatographs
Telemetering systems
Electronic odorization systems
Flow computers
Meter tubes and orifice plates
Satellite equipment
Hydrogen sulfide monitors
Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and remote terminal units and equipment
Perform and/or observe measurement equipment witness tests.
Maintain, calibrate, and/or repair company measurement testing equipment.
Maintain inventory, procure, and stock instrument and equipment parts.
Calculate, prepare, and/or maintain various records and reports including but not limited to:
Equipment calibration
Equipment testing
Schematic drawings and diagrams
Material requisitions and purchase orders
Meter tube/orifice plate ratios
Orifice and positive meter flow rates and capacities
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent desirable.
Experience programming PLC's and/or other industrial automation desirable.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including but not limited to:
Manual/power tools
Electronic testing devices
Control devices
Microcomputers/laptops
Experience with the application of basic arithmetic:
addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested). Application of algebraic and geometric formulas.
Experience installing, calibrating, and maintaining gas measurement, regulation, recording, and/or quality control devices.
Experience and training related to:
Electronics and principles of electricity
Measurement equipment and meter testing procedures
Company and governmental operating/safety policies, procedures, and/or regulations
Experience reading and interpreting manuals, charts, dials, gauges, graphs, and schematic drawings and diagrams.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license.
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 15 20 times a day; up to 20 pounds 3 5 times a day; up to 30 pounds 3 5 times a day; up to 40 pounds 2 3 times a day; over 50 pounds 2 3 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to:
a. Mud
b. Gravel
c. Sand
d. Rocks
e. Ice
f. Snow
Stationary for extended periods.
Fine motor skills for making minute adjustments.
Drive for extended periods.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information and instructions verbally including use of two way radios and cellular telephones.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
