Position Description:

Customer Billing/Credit and Collections SR Business Systems Analyst

This position is located at the ONE Gas headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma and will be a part of the Commercial support team within the Information Technology department. The Business Analyst is responsible for working directly with Business Stakeholders in the Customer Billing and Credit/Collections departments to document business needs and requirements dependent on systems supported by the ONE Gas Information Technology team. This position will partner with the Business Stakeholders to understand business strategies, tactical needs and long-term initiatives as it relates to technology capabilities.

The Billing and Credit/Collections departments rely heavily on technology systems to service over 2 million customers. We are looking for the right candidate to ensure the success of our Customer Billing and Credit/Collections departments by providing the necessary process to deploy technological solutions that meet the business needs. A qualified candidate should possess a strong skillset in the following areas:

Leading large business analysis efforts to define specific business requirements that align with business processes

7-10 years of experience planning and documenting complex project requirements

Experience working directly with technical teams to drive specific solutions related to customer requirements

Developing specific strategy approaches to solving technical challenges by leveraging technical and business SMEs

Designing robust testing plans that align with the complexity and criticality of the solution

Working directly with training groups to ensure proper training is provided for new functionality

Experience with financial systems used to provide Customer Billing capabilities and familiarity with utility processes and regulatory requirements

Documenting business processes in industry standard tools or formats

Responsibilities Would Include:

Responsible for establishing relationships with key business stakeholders to nurture ongoing alignment with business needs

Responsible for achieving sign-off from defined business owners for formal requirements and expectations based on customers’ needs

Responsible for ensuring Information Technology teams are receiving required information related to requirements and work on new functionality

Responsible for working directly with other business analysts, technical experts and customer business leaders to design necessary functionality

Responsible for estimation, planning and execution with specific focus on requirement analysis and design.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, business administration, computer science, MIS, or other related field, and previous experience in systems analysis, or an equivalent combination of formal education

Experience and/or training related to Enterprise applications.

Experience with the application of arithmetic and algebraic formulas used in computer applications.

Experience configuring applicable systems software.

Experience and training relative to:

Desktop application/hardware

Interpersonal communications

System security administration

SQL query skills

Experience identifying, researching, and analyzing systems software problems and performing systems evaluation.

Experience reviewing and interpreting manuals, journals, computer printouts, dumps, and correspondence.

Experience researching, preparing, and composing systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and correspondence.

Experience interacting, advising, guiding, training, and communicating effectively.

Experience leading and facilitating discussion groups and workshops to achieve a specific objective.

Experience in organizing, coordinating, and tracking the work of others.

Experience developing and presenting information to individuals and groups.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.

Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions and conduct oral presentations.

Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
