What does a successful candidate look like?
1-3 years of experience working with information technology in a corporate setting..
Demonstrated ability within an Oracle or Microsoft SQL Database management systems
Experience in the database field, programming or IT Infrastructure
Knowledge of scripting languages (shell, PERL, Python) and automation techniques a definite plus.
Great communication skills, ability to build relationships, and work across multiple areas.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Performs database administration including review, evaluation, design, implementation and maintenance of existing databases.
Resolve issues which escalate beyond the status of incident. Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Perform root cause analysis to resolve problems. Design and develop appropriate monitoring or other proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies where designated as the subject matter expert.
Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of application database infrastructure.
Provide configuration and engineering for new technologies.
Develop and utilize project plans using methodologies defined by industry best practices (WBS, MS Project).
Complete tasks assigned in order to accomplish approved application and/or infrastructure change requests.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Bachelor's Degree computer sciences, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:
Demonstrated ability within an Oracle or Microsoft SQL database management systems.
Experience in the Database field or in a related IT area.
Knowledge of IT policies and procedures.
Experience with application of math, algebra, and statistical and volumetric methods. Provide an explanation/example of volumetric methods
Experience researching, composing, and preparing reports, studies, recommendations, and correspondence applicable to position.
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to develop and present information to individuals and groups.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
