Perform problem management (impacting small to large groups or chronic/recurring issues) and configuration management related to IT infrastructure and support.
Manage problems which escalate beyond the status of incident. Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Perform root cause analysis on resolved problems. Design and develop appropriate monitoring or other proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
Mentor Tier I staff during problem resolution and root case analysis to increase efficiency and knowledge of Tier I personnel.
Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of infrastructure and applications.
Provide configuration and engineering for new technologies.
Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies where designated a subject matter expert.
Develop project plans using methodologies defined by industry best practices (such as WBS, MS Project).
Complete tasks assigned in order to accomplish approved application and/or infrastructure change requests.
Consult with applications and infrastructure personnel on new initiatives and the impacts they will have on the infrastructure.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree computer sciences or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience.
Demonstrated ability in the support and function of one or more of the following:
Mastery of desktop/laptop hardware, operating system, and Office suite
Infrastructure hardware configuration
Windows Server and/or Unix operating systems
Shared storage technologies
Event monitoring, logging and data collection techniques
Administering Cloud Services
Demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and facilitate discussions across a wide range of teams and technologies.
Experience with the application of math, algebra and statistical and volumetric methods.
Experience and training relative to:
Operating systems software
Demonstrated ability to identify, research and analyze systems software problems and perform systems evaluations.
Demonstrated ability to research, prepare and compose systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, guide, train and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
