One Gas SEC Reporting Manager in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Manages and directs all accounting functions for Financial reporting.
Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting functions related to SEC reporting. Supervise and assist employees performing related accounting activities.
Manage accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of financial results.
Coordinate and/or prepare internal and external financial statements including all SEC filings.
Lead the technical research and analysis of new accounting standards. Manage the related implementation projects including the process analysis/improvements and documentation required for the adoption of new accounting standards.
Provide management with information vital to decision-making processes. Interact with corporate accounting management, corporate financial reporting, business unit management, auditors, regulatory staff, and others regarding accounting activities, processes, and procedures.
Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes and systems.
Ensure internal controls systems are accurately documented and working effectively.
Hire, train, and retain competent accounting staff.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, Master's Degree and/or CPA highly preferred.
Position requires job-related experience as follows:
Preferred experience with Workiva
Experience with and thorough knowledge of GAAP, regulatory accounting, and corporate accounting methods, practices, and procedures.
Experience with the application of math and algebra.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including microcomputers and applicable software.
Experience and/or training related to:
Property accounting and reporting
Supervisory and management skills
Experience monitoring and analyzing financial data, reports, audits, and regulatory publications.
Experience researching, preparing, and composing reports, guidelines, financial data, procedures, analyses, presentations, and correspondence.
Experience reviewing and interpreting company policies and procedures, manuals, FASB pronouncements, FERC uniform accounting procedures, governmental regulations, rate case orders, publications, financial statements, contracts, reports, and correspondence.
Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.
Experience supervising, directing, and training. Working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Experience developing information and conducting group presentations.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license.
Preferred Professional accreditation such as CPA or CMA.
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
