One Gas Service Tech-Customer Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Position Description:
Performs work related to noncontact service orders.
Read gas meters; enter/record data utilizing hand held electronic meter reading equipment.
Perform noncontact service orders including but not limited to:
Disconnecting gas service
Remove gas meters and regulators
Update and/or maintain reports and records including but not limited to:
Stolen meter/gas
Customer account information
Route information
Service orders
Time sheets
Mileage reports
Orders completed
Customer account information
Miles driven
MMS, FCS, FDM reporting
Perform preventive maintenance on meters and vacant meter settings.
Install, program and troubleshoot electronic reader transmitters (ERTs).
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of use and function of hand tools and office equipment applicable to position.
Experience with the application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
Demonstrated ability to recognize difference between pairs of numbers (tested).
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret maps, addresses, dials, and customer account information
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license.
Carry objects weighing up to 5 pounds continuously each day; lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds 15 20 times a day; over 50 pounds 3 5 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to:
Mud
Gravel
Sand
Rocks
Ice
Snow
Walk, stand, kneel/stoop, and drive for extended periods.
Climb over and around barriers; move obstacles obstructing view.
React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
Smell odorant in natural gas.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Communicate and/or exchange information and instructions.
Sufficient to perform job duties. #fieldoperations
