One Gas Staff Accountant in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Performs routine duties related to various accounts payable automation functions.
Prepare various journal entries, records, regulatory reports, and budget information. Performs accounting functions related to customer accounting and accounts receivable reconciliations.
Assist with preparation of corporate income tax and property tax returns; special feasibility and economic studies; and verification of tax assessments.
Verify and/or perform calculations including but not limited to:
Percentages and discounts
Utilize applicable micro and/or mainframe applications to assist with preparation and/or verification of information including but not limited to:
Forecasted versus actual expenses
Quarterly income statements
Corporate tax returns
Provide information and assistance to auditors, governmental/regulatory staff, managers, employees, customers, and others concerning accounting activities.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, other related field
Familiarity with Oracle and intermediate Excel
Working knowledge of standard accounting methods and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to perform various accounting activities.
Experience with the application of math and algebraic formulas.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Working knowledge and/or training related to:
Spreadsheet and word processing software applications
Financial accounting and reporting standards and processes (specified by position)
Corporate tax functions and preparation of returns (specified by position)
Economic forecasting/modeling and corporate budget functions (specified by position)
Demonstrated ability to research and compose reports and correspondence applicable to position.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, accounting/tax publications, auditors' requests, company correspondence, accounting software manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents.
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
