One Gas Technical Consultant-Business Intelligence in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Position Description:

Applies comprehensive knowledge of broad analytic technology platforms to design and implement solutions that maximize the technology investment value to ONE Gas and enable the desired data-driven business outcomes.

Leads complex Business Intelligence (BI) development efforts, including the creation of technical requirements and design specifications, SQL development, unit testing, and deployment of business intelligence solutions to achieve the desired business outcome.

Mentor senior BI developers during problem resolution and root cause analysis to increase efficiency and knowledge of senior employees.

Leads all aspects of the software development lifecycle for business intelligence solutions, including data modeling, SQL development, unit testing, deployment, and maintenance activities in the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack.

Analyze and document the advanced architecture and configuration of specific technology platform(s) crossing all infrastructure and application layers. Maintain the target state design that will ensure solutions that are scalable, reliable, and achieve optimal performance.

Collaborate with technical SME's on IT solution delivery and support teams to ensure technical designs and implementation align with future state EA architecture, support business operational needs, and enable the business to achieve their strategic goals.

Understand vendor product roadmaps and release schedules and collaborate with IT technical teams to create plan to ensure ONE Gas implements product upgrades to stay on current, supported product versions, and to maximize the platform investment value.

Understand the practical application of new and emerging technologies and participate in Proof-of-Concept initiatives to determine the potential value to ONE Gas.

Analyze the Business / IT Environment (run, grow, transform) to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions

Communicate highly complex technology in laymen terms.

Develop and recommend projects and provide input to overall IT investment strategy based on critical project needs assessment.

Drive solutions for results while providing frequent status of deliverables, financial and overall health of the project.

Serve as advisor and reviewer of complex changes.

Lead and participate in projects across multiple domains/systems.

Mentor senior staff during problem resolution and root case analysis to increase efficiency and knowledge of senior employees.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree MIS, computer science, mathematics, other related field

Expert level knowledge within a specialized discipline and extensive knowledge of other related disciplines.

Desktop/laptop hardware, operating system and Office suite

IP networking

Windows server and/or Unix operating systems

Shared storage technologies

Virtualization technologies

Event monitoring, logging, and data collection techniques

Cloud Services

Core Application Platforms (ERP, CRM, CIS, Maximo, Web/Mobile,etc.)

Data Integration Methods (Service Bus, ETLAPI, web services)

Business Intelligence and Advanced Data Analytics

Application of math, algebra and statistical and volumetric methods.

Training and experience relative to:

Demonstrated ability to identify, research, and analyze systems software problems and perform systems evaluations.

Demonstrated ability to research, prepare, and compose systems operating procedures and

documentation, reports, and correspondence.

Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, guide, train, and communicate effectively.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings.

Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings.

Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
