What You Will Do
Implement sales strategy for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. Responsible for market development, new account acquisition and face to face meetings within the confined geography to meet the customer's needs.
Analyze, develop and implement customer sales strategy Identify key growth partners and implement communication strategy.
Trade shows
Direct mailings
Advertising
Personal contacts
Partnerships
Monitor and report growth mapping and planning in collaboration with other departments.
Develop and present sales proposals or provide gas service-related information to business prospects.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
Preferred bachelor's degree in business, communications, engineering, finance, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal and the following job-related experience:
Working knowledge of utility industry
Perform economic and financial project analysis
Apply algebraic equations and general math skills
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and related software
Experience with economic development is a plus
Experience and training related to:
Natural gas sales
Business development
Negotiation skills
Rate and usage analysis
Read and interpret tariffs, terms of contracts, industry publications, technical manuals, market reports, account data, and company procedures.
Research and prepare account correspondence, rate agreements, usage reports, account analysis, and rate comparison.
Prepare and conduct sales meetings.
Read and write fluently in English.
