One Gas Senior Project Manager in Austin, Texas
Manage natural gas construction projects. Manage efforts of team members; serve as Team Lead. Serve as liaison with contractors, engineering, operations, resource management, leadership, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Develop, monitor, and analyze the review and/or design of a natural gas construction project. This includes reviewing and updating the schedule, as needed.
Manage all aspects of natural gas construction projects from initiation through meter set to ensure on-time delivery of service. This includes monitoring and communicating the project's budget and costs.
Meet with project engineers, contractors and customers to review/discuss designs and design changes; provide solutions to construction issues/challenges.
Ensure project installation meets milestones and scope of work. This includes ensuring all materials, testing, traffic control, permitting, easements, right of way needs, environmental controls, and safety plans are completed, procured and/or designed for project implementation.
Provide progress reports for operational, financial and resource forecasting.
Identify risks and roadblocks during project planning, implementation and closing. Develop alternatives to address risk mitigation, budget impacts, and schedule changes.
Develop, maintain, and improve design and construction project management policies and procedures.
Provide technical advice and assistance to company management, field personnel, and contractors.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Preferred Associate's Degree construction management, engineering technology, business administration, other related field
Experience with gas distribution system infrastructure design and materials, construction methods, and project duration.
Experience with engineering and architectural design principles, practices and procedures, estimating techniques.
Experience with project accounting, and construction methods and the principles, methods and practices of project management.
Experience with budget and contract policies, principles and procedures.
Experience with adapting, interpreting and applying guidelines and standards.
Experience with establishing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers.
Knowledge or training related to:
Gas fired equipment design and operation
Line extension program
Job order preparation (Specified by position)
Pressure request procedures
Experience in use and function of project management tools, office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Experience researching and composing reports, studies, cost analyses, contracts, and correspondence.
Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license for travel to meet with customers and attend various civic and community functions.
Mobility to travel in and around office and outdoor environments and job sites.
Communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations.
